Belle vie — a beautiful life
Belle Vie — French for 'beautiful life' — is a pure-vegetarian, eggless bakery and restaurant on Tegubehar Road in Shamshi, near Tegubehar Govt School, Kullu. French standards with the flavours of the hills: dal, paneer and a full veg thali, momos, chowmein, pasta, burgers on in-house buns, crepes and waffles, alongside freshly ground coffee, matcha, shakes and smoothies — cooked only with ingredients the family would serve at home.
More than a name — a promise
Belle Vie means “beautiful life”, and it is a promise: to bring the elegance of French culinary standards together with the rich, comforting flavours of our own culture. We believe food should be honest, nourishing and made with love, so we cook only with ingredients we would proudly serve in our own homes — no artificial taste enhancers, no unnecessary mayonnaise, no ajinomoto (MSG), and no shortcuts. Everything is vegetarian and eggless. Our mission does not stop at the table. We are just as committed to a culture of care behind the scenes — healthy working conditions, fair hours, real holidays, and a respectful, inclusive place to work. A truly beautiful life is one where everyone, from our guests to our team, is treated with kindness, respect and humanity.
